Ranting:
I have a confession. I am an aggressive driver. I really, really try not to be, but sometimes I am so overcome with irritation that I am literally ready to burst. This past week has been particularly difficult on me. I drive the 395 to/from Washington DC. For some reason, there has been an enormous increase of vehicles on the road – right when I am trying to get to work.
I realize that most people are trying to do the same, so I counsel myself on being patient, generous, and considerate. Most times my counseling pays off. Yet, both yesterday on the way home and today on the way to work, it was exhausting on my patience! People driving like they’re the only one on the road, people keeping a 5,000 yard distance from the person in front of them, people riding my butt (as if I wasn’t going fast enough!), and straying in and out of lanes. Crazy.
Believe me, I am not suggesting speeding ( I avoid it), or tail-gating (hate it), but people, if you want to drive 20 miles an hour under the speed limit – don’t be in the far left lane. It just isn’t right.
Raving:
I work with a young lady named Danielle. She’s gorgeous, great personality, and great body (no, I am not of the bi way). I of course am/have none of things, but that’s okay. What I am raving about is that she works for her great body! Yeah, she’s out in the gym working to have the body that turns heads. Good for her. I am working in the gym just to be able to make it through the doorway (smile.) But for those of us that have the ability to gain weight just by looking at food, to see someone with a fabulous body exercising – just makes us love them all the more. Way to go Danielle! And raves to all you women out there that work hard for your health, you inspire me.
Remarking:
I sure appreciate people that help other people just because. No because it’s the right thing (says who?), or because they are paid to (they are paid even if they don’t) but just because they have this sense inside them. It’s great. Nice people are wonderful to be around (James Lewis, Lisa Yambrick, Michelle Barber, Ted Williams, Kim, Katie – to name a few.) Thanks.
